Mr. McConathy joined Lynch, Gilardi & Grummer in 2002 after serving as Assistant General Counsel for a software consulting firm headquartered in the Bay Area. His practice is devoted primarily to Construction Law, Business Litigation, Consumer Warranty, and General Litigation. His practice also includes matters involving defective products, pharmaceutical claims, employment disputes, and pyrotechnic devices, including interpretations of NPFA standards.

Mr. McConathy formerly served as Compliance Officer for a nationwide behavioral healthcare company. A member of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the State Bar of California, he serves on the BASF Attorney/Client Fee Dispute Panel, and regularly acts as a mediator in fee dispute matters. He is a volunteer for the BASF Lawyers in the Schools Program, and he is a member of the USF Inn of Court Program.

Prior to pursuing his law career, Mr. McConathy served as an economist for the U.S. Department of Commerce for more than four years where he was involved in monitoring and maintaining gross domestic product figures.

Mr. McConathy is a 1990 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.S. in Economics. He earned his J.D. in 1997 from Golden Gate University School of Law, where he participated in the Law Review and published a comment on consumer privacy in the Ninth Circuit Survey Journal, entitled "How Much Should the Telephone Consumer Protection Act Restrict Your Phone, Fax and Computer?" (26 Golden Gate U.L. Rev. 153 (1996)).
