Arif Virji joined the firm in 1988, became a partner in 1996, and has served as the firm's Managing Partner since 2002.

Mr. Virji's practice is devoted to Employment Law, Class Action Litigation, Wage and Hour Law and Litigation, Real Estate, and Construction Law and Litigation. He is a member of the Employment and Intellectual Property Sections of the State Bar Association of California, the American Bar Association, the American Inns of Court, the Asian American Bar Association, the California Minority Corporate Counsel Program (CMCP) - San Francisco Chapter, and the Bar Association of San Francisco. He has served as a Settlement Conference Pro Tem Judge in San Francisco Superior Court and as a mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission.

An ardent promoter of diversity initiatives in the legal workplace, Mr. Virji has authored feature articles on the subject, including "Breaking the Diversity Barrier at Law Firms: An Insider's View," published in the September 13, 2006 edition of The Daily Journal.

Mr. Virji obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1984 and his J.D. in 1987 from Southern Methodist University.

He is admitted to practice law in the State of California.
